Established in 1967, Nikari is a wood design studio and furniture manufacturer known for its expertise in solid wood. Our hand-crafted, durable wooden furniture provides a soothing background for, and safe haven from, our increasingly active lives. Nikari’s early years were marked by a close collaboration with masters of Finnish architecture and design, including Alvar Aalto and Kaj Franck. These early collaborations helped to establish a foundational ethos that continues to inspire our work into the present day — how to bring out the best of wood through contemporary design?

We are continuously striving to answer this question through the use of real materials, sustainable manufacturing processes, and a respect for heritage, all of which come together to create authentic and harmonious products that are in balance with our natural world.
