The Centenniale table, which makes its debut in Milan, celebrates the past and future life of old materials. Interior architect and designer Joanna Laajisto has designed the table, where contrasting forms distinguish the different elements, one from another. The chunky but gently rounded legs are a fascinating contrast to the table’s sharper top. Laajisto adds: “the low profile of the table has a grounding effect, bringing harmony and calmness to a space. It also enhances the natural and organic feel of the piece.” The life of the hundred-year-old wooden material is not hidden: cracks, color variations, and other characteristics make each table a unique piece of art.

Designed by Jasper Morrison and Wataru Kumano, December reached the ten year milestone last year. To celebrate the decade, the December armchair and lounge chair with armrests will now be seen dressed in dark, upholstered in a new black leather and smoked oak finish.
Combining the strengths of Woodnotes and Nikari, the Detalji bench by Jenni Roininen is now available in two sizes: the new, shorter bench is a convenient and agile seat for hallways. The oak-framed bench built with carpentry joints is upholstered with Woodnotes’ Woodpecker fabric, its ends tightly braided with paper yarn.
Nikari’s father figure, founder Kari Virtanen, was awarded the Kaj Franck design award last year. In return for the recognition, he wanted to celebrate his special connection with Franck, the father of modern Finnish design, with a new chair. Virtanen’s Storia spoke-back chair combines the long and storied tradition of the spoke-back chair with modern elements and dimensions.
See you in Milan!
