Nikari at Design Helsinki
While it’s still summer, we probably can all sense autumn approaching and bringing a new kind of rhythm, routine and energy to our lives. We return from the flowery meadows, terraces and seashores to our familiar everyday lives, which some of us even started to miss during the summer break.
Many familiar things await us, but there’s also something new on the horizon. British event company Media 10 presents Finland’s first B2B international contemporary design festival, Design Helsinki, which will take place this fall on August 24th and 25th. The annual professional event will spread throughout Helsinki’s inner city, presenting Finnish and Nordic design to an international audience while highlighting interesting themes and discussions about design. Design Helsinki can be found at designers’ and companies’ showrooms, in several pop-up exhibitions, in the Design Museum and the event pavilion being built at Kasarmitori.
Alongside Iittala’s ceramic and glass dishes and other interior items, Nikari and Woodnotes will present novelties such as the new Detalji bench and Willow rug, as well as already familiar classics.
